Welcome… the virtual guzheng! This includes all twenty-one strings, in the scale of D. You might notice that there's only five notes in a scale (in this case, D E F# A B) — this is called a pentatonic scale system. It's what gives the guzheng a unique musical sound! Beginners usually start with a guzheng tuned to D, and most guzheng pieces are played in this scale as well, but just know that the guzheng can be played in many other scales, not just with D as the root.
Each keyboard row is one octave, rising in pitch: ZXCVB → ASDFG → QWERT → 12345 → 6. Hold Shift for vibrato and Space for tremolo (yáozhǐ). Headphones recommended.
